Albino in parliament
A male has entered parliament in Malawi no more stigmatization of albinos.
Albinism is caused by a defect in one of several genes that produce or distribute melanin, the pigment that gives the skin, eyes and hair their coloring, the defect may result in the absence of melanin production or a reduced amount of melanin production thus an albino is a person or animal having a congenital absence of the pigment in the skin, hair and eyes and people often assume that white squirrels are albinos.
People mock at, associate the condition to witchcraft even in the face of all dynamism they say and see stigma behind their backs even violence lurks around cases of this hereditary condition. Superstitious beliefs are rumored that their body parts can fetch a lot of money when traded and most often they are treated as second class citizens or even out casted in most duty posts preferring superior black skin pigment. Some in the mountainous regions say they are good sacrifice for the gods of the mountains.
