Human and Divine

The humanity of Christ refers to the reality that is in his incarnation, the son of God assumed a complete human nature with all its limitations, Jesus took on flesh like us was born to a human mother, experience hunger and thirst, he was tempted, he suffered pain, suffering and rejection. To provide an effective sacrifice for sin without the incarnation we could have no savior, the law tells us that sin requires death for its payment; God cannot die, so the most pure lady, a sinless virgin has to have a boy child to be slain for the purpose of salvation. Incarnation means a person who embodies in the flesh a deity, spirit or quality with reference to each of a series of earthly lifetimes exemplified from the bible stories in the book of Genesis to the four gospels in the new testament, initially animals were slain in the old testament for rituals to purify and cleanse the believers of their sins but with the new testament only Jesus alone a descendant of Abraham our father in faith has purchased for us the reward of eternal damnation by his sacrificial blood on the cross. In pidgin they say ‘Jesus be take man skin’, meaning he took the form of a man not a woman per se, born into the family of Joseph the worker who was a mere carpenter, as the story goes ‘is this not the carpenter’s son’ a mere mortal man like every one of us, why should he proclaim he is the son of God.

Why does he deem equality with God, he says his brothers and sisters are the ones who listen to the word and his teachings about the gospel, the good news of the kingdom. His roots were Christian of the Jewish faith keeping of the laws in the old testament awaiting the coming of the redeemer, his mother Mary and the cousin Elizabeth were all firm in their faith remember Zechariah the husband of the cousin who did not believe he could have a child until the birth of John the Baptist, after John’s naming ceremony he could start speaking again since he had become a mute from his disbelieve. Godhead, God in general, from the gospels, Christians believe in the blessed trinity, the Father the Son & the Holy Spirit are all one as God. The true divinity lies in the achievement of a prophetic mission, he promises every other son of God to submit for we are brethren in the Lord.

Jesus is alive

Christ promised to send the Holy Spirit to help which he did on Pentecost and all the disciples started speaking in tongues, he promised come back after preparing a place for us, which means we have another home in view. At the last super he broke bread so we could always do same in memory of him, his body and blood are symbols of a new covenant sealed, blessed broken sanctified so that we can take his saving blood as ransom for our sins, he finished on the cross of Calvary for all who believe in him, be you black or white, Jew, Samaritan or Gentile. Bread is food for the flesh and all countries eat bread, that is why Jesus likened his body to bread, bread winner is what they say of a man who earns money for his family, the only bread winner when the woman does not earn money is the man that was common with the traditional setting, those days are gone women now have to fend for themselves and their kids. Wine is red the color of blood that is how he likened his blood to wine for all to be saved. For we know that when this tent we live in our body here on earth is torn, God will have a house in heaven for us to live in, a home he himself has made which will last forever. And now we sigh, so great is our desire that our home which comes from heaven be put on over us, by being clothe with it we shall not be without a body.

The body of Christ

Amen
