The Christian holiday of Pentecost is celebrated some weeks after Easter, the mystery is the trinity father son and Holy Spirit in one, the father sent the son, who in turn promised his followers an advocate, after leaving his followers who were committed to praying and sharing, the spirit came down on them and they had the power to talk in tongues. Great is the mystery of faith god is manifested in the flesh, an only begotten son of the father, he came from heaven and he says that he is the “great’ ”I am”, if you ever said I, you definitely meant just you, this is what he meant. His English was not easy to understand for example he said he is the bread of life, he said if the believers broke down the church he could build it in three days, he said before Abraham was he is, so because of all these parables people scorned him and his message, they forgot very fast the miracles like feeding thousands with five loaves of bread and two fish, he had healed the sick, even the storm calmed down at his command.
Pentecostals is a name for some churches and when you worship and fellowship you hear a lot of titles which comes from reading the bible. Apostles, disciples, prophets, man of god, miracle worker, we all use faith to proclaim and win Christians to gain ownership in the sheepfold, the shepherd must do the grazing of the sheep and this needs a sweet-tongue, a good orator, a powerful speaker, a good influence, a good author that is what the spirit does when two or three gather to say we belong because by his stripes we are healed, we belong because he was slain and his precious blood takes away our sins. In the Old Testament the blood of cattle was used to do the cleansing of sins to atone for wrong-doing every time the high priest will slaughter, a goat, a ram, an oxen, a sheep for the sacrifice a ritual done in the traditional style but with the New Testament Christ alone has died to save all mankind, one sacrifice once and for all, the rewards of eternal life awaits anyone who believes in him.
Pentecost is something that never ends it is happening over and over, the cost of the power is the union of the spirit, that is the communion of the faithful, the holy people together have united in the unbreakable bond of prayer to enable the blessed trinity to complete the task of getting the rewards, the healing, the miracle, the strength to carry out the duties labeled and assigned to them for the growth of the children of God. On Pentecost believers became multilingual, started talking in different languages spreading the gospel. In those days the Jews, the Gentiles and the Samaritans each had a special binding factor, just the same as we are today the white and black, the cultures, the class distinctions, the rich and the poor, the educated the uneducated, the employed and the unemployed.
When the missionaries came they were all whites and they were from different congregations doing the evangelizing for discipleship but now all these congregations have grown and many Africans have joined that is why as a micro-catholic my catholicity keeps coming over and over again.
