Global warming

Global warming and climate change are two terms used interchangeably; global warming usually refers to human-induced warming of the earth system, whereas climate change can refer to natural or anthropogenic change. Global warming is an aspect of climate change, referring to the long-term rise in the planet’s temperatures; it is caused by increased concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, mainly from human activities such as burning fossil fuels and farming. The effects of global warming are increased heat, drought and insect outbreaks like the one in the horn of Africa, all linked to climate change, we have increased wildfires like the ones in Australia and California. Declining water supplies reduced agricultural yields, health impacts in cities due to heat, flooding like in India and South Africa, and erosion in coastal areas are additional concerns.

The planet earth is suffering from the heat of human activities and this is having a negative effect on the planet so as humans we all inhabiting the earth have to act in such a way as to redress the adverse effects of the heat. The globe is warming and there are forecasts by weather specialists that there is a possibility of the temperatures rising by more than one percent within the next five years. Global citizens have to make it a point that global issues like climate change be properly analyzed to determine how the fight can take its rightful place, we all living on the planet must put our heads together to come up with lasting solutions to combat climate change and global warming.

We can do this by planting more trees, using public transport and cutting back on the use of products that result in increased carbon emissions into the atmosphere. We have to use solar energy and foster its use all over the world by so doing we will lessen the effect of increasing temperatures.
