‘On dit’ rumors, scandals, taste good to many so everyone gets a bit of the gist I hate, dislike, and don’t know this and that; usually done by the hear say talk say is common so let’s get involved. In social sciences, a rumor involves a form of statement whose veracity is not quickly or ever confirmed; in addition some scholars have identified rumor as a subset of propaganda. Rumors are also often discussed with regard to misinformation and disinformation; rumors thus have been viewed as particular forms of other communication concepts. The noise in rumors a tale of explanations of events circulating form person to person and pertaining to an object, or issue in public concern.

Small talk, hearsay, palaver, chitchat, talker, rumor mongering associated with the weather; the rain, the snow, the food ‘mama shidon don go tiff Mame banyan e coco’ I hate small talk introverts prefer deeper conversation normally with a few selected bosom friends. Discussion around random irrelevant rubbish serves no point and it is boring. It’s fake!

A little bit of the gossip is good, get some of the noise especially with marketing communications; it spreads rumors with some positive insights mixed up in the vibes. Chit chatting is inconsequential conservation, talking about trivial matters; just like the word chat a chatter or chatter box is associated with foolish people it seems to be always biting people’s reputation behind their back. It is not advised for forums and social journalism which should steer clear of irrelevance and misinformation. Instead social media assistants look for management information systems (MIS) to go with marketing communications (MAR-COM).

To deal with social media needs some personal composure where you must look out for the objective of the company in hand. Select the best possible phrases you like to put forth and then collect a few from your client now make a combo of a better version of what you both have to sell and go on. Most old hands will need your past performance to know whether to work with you so a display of your talent comes on after years in the field or when you are lucky someone ahead will hold your hand and lead you on to the level required to attain the goals set. Remember the ‘good ol’ days?’ How often you walked down a hallway of your academic unit and pass a student, faculty or staff member, or administrator and have a short conversation about the new course you were teaching, asked for advice about applying to graduate school, talked about the upcoming faculty staff student barbecue, or discussed a pending sporting event between rivals? We have all taken part in these chitchats, whether distracting or welcoming. Do you remember having these interactions with colleagues and students on our campuses? You may not, as these chit-chats often occurred before the Anglophone crisis and the pandemic forced most of us to work from home.
