I started writing for medium in June, I just saw the write for medium pop up in my mail box that is in my Google mail account that is how I took interest without any membership or commitment.
You can write short stories, long stories
You cannot advertise using ad campaigns and adverts
You cannot see other writers own stories
So whenever you see write for medium you can try your luck at it with out any membership fee.
I paid in August and started trying to search what others were talking about and realized that this is how I will be inspired to keep up the writing process, that's how I started commenting on others writing and eventually clapping; as such I have been building a follower count which is gearing up to 100.
Now I have 85 followers, hopefully by the end of the year I will have 100 followers.
Initially nobody was reading my own now people are clapping for me, I saw 50 claps, I was happy.
